Looking good and working better.
Obviously today is a day different then days past, with Gen Y things will change as we know it. What is your take on dress code and work. the expectation now is full suit, but what about jeans and jacket with dress shirt, what about being semi-casual but still ready to work. Can teens that are looking to get into business be serious just by wearing a nice suit?

Well, I believe that it all depends on the person on what they can wear. I usually go for a full suit, or just wear some nice jeans with a suit jacket. (Possibly a dress shirt undernear the suit jacket.). Looks good.
ReplyDeleteyes, i think that just by dressin the part it makes a huge difference
ReplyDeleteyea and it could be a bad thing if you over dress the employer, although i have done this and still received the position, some managers take it seriously and some even tell you what to wear. if they don't I'll wear a full. I dont mind it makes me feel sophisticated.
ReplyDeleteIn school, we briefly touched on the evolution of business dress over the years. Historically, people dressed up for business (in a suit), however throughout the 90's, "business-casual" became the popular dress. Today, many employers have found that business-casual, which usually consisted of a pair of kakis and a polo, led employees to decrease in motivation, productivity, and efficiency. Many corporations, once again, are beginning to impliment a higher standard of dress, such as dress pants/shirt/tie, or of course, the full suit.
